 A unique approach.

Warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. Not all about talk… we support you as you take action. Working together to understand the origins of your current challenges, develop a change plan, and actively support you through the change process.

Passionate about mental health.

Physical and mental health are interconnected and we need to take care of them both equally.

Prevention and treatment of mental health issues can prevent lifelong challenges for individuals and for society as a whole.

Mental health should be treated using a holistic approach that incorporates not only the clients personal strengths but incorporates their environment including their families, friends, and communities.

Change is hard but is absolutely worth it. Ann-Margaret believes that we all have the strength to change, but sometimes it’s hard to find that strength when it’s most needed. Sometimes you need a partner for a portion of your journey to walk with you and help you find those strengths again. Her approach is collaborative and focused on your goals. Together you will develop a plan drawing from evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, feminist therapy, trauma-focused compassionate inquiry, mindfulness, and nature therapy.

Ann-Margaret has an MA in Counselling Psychology, Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and a BA in Economics and Psychology. She attended the University of Aberdeen, the University of Victoria, the University of Western Ontario, and Yorkville University. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Ann-Margaret has lived in the UK and Canada throughout her life. Her professional background includes executive roles in a variety of industries focused on transformation and change management. She has been married for 20 years, and has teenage twins. In her free time, Ann-Margaret enjoys spending time in nature, reading, and cuddling with her pets.
